Our Better Path Collection is supplied by one of the world’s top organic cotton users - Belgium based Stanley/Stella.

On a mission to produce premium contemporary garments in a more responsible and sustainable way, Stanley/Stella are totally committed to working in a different way to drive positive change within the textile industry.

🌱 THEY ONLY WORK WITH 100% ORGANIC COTTON AND RECYCLED MATERIALS

Stanley/Stella work closely with their suppliers to source only the best raw materials, grown or produced in ways that do not harm people, animals, or the environment. They exclusively use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton from India, recycled polyester from China and other sustainable materials such as Modal®.

🌱 THEY ARE CERTIFIED BY THE BEST

Stanley/Stella supply chain is certified by various independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications demonstrate that they are working towards building healthy environmental practices and greater respect for the planet, every step of the way. They also encourage their Dealers to implement GOTS Certified printing techniques which use non-harmful inks and sustainable production methods, so that they can affirm that their finalized, decorated garments are 100% fully sustainable. Pathfinder UK® are proud to confirm our unified commitment to using environmentally friendly inks and processes.

🌱 THEY CHECK EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS

To ensure the safety of all their workers, Stanley/Stella work very closely with the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) and support their partners with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach. After an extensive social audit, they have been attributed ‘Leader’ status by FWF, certifying that they are showing the best practices in complex areas such as freedom of association. Stanley/Stella also have a number of mechanisms in place to ensure decent working conditions, such as an internal Code of Conduct, monthly reports and daily visits to their partner factories.

🌱 THEY ARE OPEN ABOUT WHO THEY WORK WITH

For Stanley/Stella, transparency is key, which is why they publish the names and contact details of all their suppliers. At present, they work with only five partner factories in Bangladesh and one in China, helping them to build supportive, long-term and collaborative relationships.

To improve worker livelihoods, Stanley/Stella is currently also supporting factories to open grocery shops inside their walls.

🌱 THEY ARE CONSCIOUS OF THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Stanley/Stella collect data from across their supply chain to gain a better understanding of their environmental impact and to help them work towards minimizing it. All their partner factories are equipped with state-of-the art Effluent Treatment Plants which remove toxic elements from the water and ensure it is safe to be reused. Taking things further, they have also developed a recycling fabric waste project.

🌱 THEY KEEP PUSHING FOR NEW SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES

Stanley/Stella know there is no magic formula for achieving sustainability, but they enjoy coming up with new, innovative ways of working to have a positive impact on people and the Planet. From subsidizing fair-priced grocery shops in their partner factories, to recycling fabric waste and co-funding electric bikes for their HQ staff – they are constantly developing new ideas to make a difference.
